Laura Mercier counter manager Caroline Watt
Laura Mercier makeup experts are planning a master class in Edinburgh’s Harvey Nichols. Caroline Watt, the counter manager of the Edinburgh store is to be joined by makeup artist Lauren Innes and Trevor O’Keefe, Laura Mercier’s Global Trainer for the event Friday 20th June. So if you’ve always wanted to know how to create a flawless finish; or fancy finding out about contouring, then, this is the perfect opportunity. Caroline says,
“It won’t be anything too advanced or difficult, so it’s perfect for anyone who isn’t completely confident with makeup or people who want to learn tips and techniques from the experts. We’ll be showing how to create the Laura Mercier typical look, one that’s natural and flawless, We’ll be showing how to use products to brighten up the eyes, correcting the skin not through heavy makeup but using sheer products and building it so it looks more natural, and how to do contouring. It’s all about getting people involved and giving them the opportunity to pick up some useful tips."
Laura Mercier Global Trainer Trevor O'Keefe
Laura Mercier trainer Trevor travels the world for the luxury brand, sharing his top tips and advice. He also works closely with Laura Mercier herself, knowing exactly how the French-born beauty boss, whose famous clients include Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna and Julia Roberts, works and what products she uses, and how, to achieve her famous flawless finish.

And some of Caroline's own clients have included some big names such as Vogue editor Anna Wintour at this year's Edinburgh Film Festival, actress Tilda Swinton and Sienna Miller. And the 28-year-old, who has worked in the industry for over a decade, was one of the makeup artists for Christopher Kane's recent show at London Fashion Week, and has done stars at the BAFTAs in London for the past three years.
With only 20 places available, the select event looks likely to be the perfect backdrop to pick up some top makeup tips and to find out how to create your own flawless face. Caroline says,
"This is the first time we've done a makeup master class in Harvey Nichols. We've been part of events which have included other brands, but this is the first solo event here by Laura Mercier so we're really excited. And it's a great way for people to learn and have a good time. It's not like makeup is taught at school, people learn and teach themselves about it, so this is the chance to get some tips from professionals."
So, to bag your spot on this makeup master class contact the Laura Mercier counter either by phoning Harvey Nichols, 0131 524 8388 or in-store direct. There is a £10 booking fee which is redeemable against a Laura Mercier purchase. The class takes place on Friday 20th in the Edinburgh store.
